Lean Enterprise Research Centre

The Lean Enterprise Research Centre is a specialist research unit at Cardiff University's Business School, set up by Professor Dan Jones and Professor Peter Hines in 1994.

It is dedicated to helping organisations achieve world class performance through the application of 'lean thinking', notably through a series of leading-edge research projects, many in conjunction with major companies.

LERC has been the lead co-ordinator or participant in a number of important supply chain and automotive component benchmarking studies, and has developed a range of internationally recognised analytical and benchmarking tools.
